And, furthermore ...

Too many things to do, too few hours in the day ... it's amazing what adding an 8-hour job (with an hour transit on either end) will do to one's already tight schedule. Of course was it "a REAL job", like one I had an expectation of doing for years hence, all the "job search" elements could be jettisoned from my schedule, leaving me with something that might even look like free time. Oh, well, it's nice to have a dribble of money coming in to stave off our own personal Financial Apocalypse (while we wait for the Global one to come down).

Of course, this is to say "oh, gee ... I really wish I'd been posting more in here, sorry!", but I get a feeling that you're sick of hearing that. As that Hey Zeus guy said "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" and sleep keeps dragging me away from my better intents when I'm trying to squeeze just one more project out of a day.

Over there ===> is the post about my appearing on WGN-AM's "Chicago Now" show last Saturday morning (yeah, it's taken me a week to get the info to you ... I clearly suck). Click on that and you'll be one click away from the .mp3 of me bloviating over the airwaves, and I know you're going to want to listen to that!

Oddly, with the Census gig I've been posting more to The Job Stalker ... which I guess has a lot to do with my trying to fit my head around the having-a-job thing while still in a full-time job search. Admittedly my recent posts have been heavy on the navel-gazing, but at least it's verbiage in the electronic aether.

I've got more stuff to blither about, but I'm falling behind on these things, so I think I'll hold on till later in the day with some more news ... in the words of Dr. Frank N. Furter: "I see you shiver with anticip ... ... ... ... pation!"
