So ... poetry ...

As I noted a couple of days ago, I'm doing a NaBloPoMo this month (yeah, I know, it sounds like some sort of a colon cleanse or something), and the "official theme" of it this month is "Poem". While I'm thinking that I'm probably not going to go back to writing poetry and inflicting it on you here (but, I suppose, it could happen), I'm using that theme to hopefully leverage some attention on my part for getting the rest of the old The Terminal Journal issues scanned and up on the web.

Now, The Terminal Journal was a little "literary magazine" that I did as something of a promo piece for my publishing company, Eschaton Books (which had started out as just a "formalized" way of putting out my poetry, before blooming into the metaphysical juggernaut it was in the 90's {not really}). This began on a bit of a whim, but was of interest to a certain crowd on AOL and IRC and locally in Chicago, folks who'd send in stuff for me to publish. Initially it was just one sheet of color 11x17" paper, folded down to "envelope" size (as a self-mailer), as a monthly, then it expanded to two sheets, still as a monthly, then it took the big jump into a 20-page quarterly with a card-stock cover. We completed 7 volumes, although the last couple of issues (when the company was faltering, thanks to our "distributor disaster") took a long time to roll out.

Anyway ... if you click on the graphic up there it will take you to the page on my Ning site where you can download the new .pdf files of Volume 1 ... especially informative if you've not been exposed to my poetry before now!
