Sometimes in a NaBloPoMo ...

OK ... so I probably mentioned this earlier in the month (as if it hadn't been evident since), but I decided to start the year off with a NaBloPoMo run (National Blog Posting Month). As I've previously noted, NaBloPoMo was initially a sardonic take-off on NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), but rather than writing 50k words for a "novel", one would post daily in one's blog. It started out as a particular month (November, same as NaNoWriMo), but eventually became an every month thing, with a new "theme" coming up each month.

Now, I would have to be very into the idea of playing by the rules to try to come up with 30 posts on a single topic (unless, of course, it was the topic of how much my life sucks, which you all know I can go on and on and on and on and on about), so I've never even much taken note of the theme du mois (it's currently "energy", in case you cared - I didn't), and have just pushed myself to crank out content for you, my readers.

I had actually planned to have had another book review up for today, but various things conspired to make that not happen, and while I could have spewed a special brand of bile regarding the unpleasant events that were happening today in D.C., I opted to leave that for re-posting snarky graphics over on Facebook. So I found myself running out of Monday, with nothing much to bring you. Hence this post.

The preceding is, actually, just blithering to sort of explain my sharing the following video. You see, the video is not particularly to the point, and I have, to be perfectly honest, never even seen the show in question (although being familiar Captain Jack from Doctor Who), but I've played this thing a half a dozen times today, so it has something to recommend it (if nothing else, the exchange of "Have you seen a blowfish driving a sports car?" to which the citizen being asked points down the street, and, as they drive off mutters "bloody Torchwood!"), above and beyond being a clever mash-up with one of my favorite Duran Duran songs.

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here's "Torchwood: A View to a Kill" ...

C'mon ... what's not to like?

So, that makes 21 days with posts ... into the home stretch!
