Oh, yeah ... one more ...

Hey, I actually got all of this written on the same day. Not that anybody else really cares about that, but things have been so patchy of late in the writing department ... a couple of stanzas on this bus, another on the pot, another waiting for the train, etc., most started one day and finished the next ... today I actually got this done today. Big whoop-de-whoop. Now I can go off and see about my homework.

                    descent into illness
                    slipping towards death
                    we lose our connection
                    with sustaining rage
                    sliding into fatalism
                    where we can hardly care
                    if we decay
                    and the mundanes win

                    so damn much darkness
                    so many cycles of abuse
                    we are battered down here
                    all supports shattered
                    our superstructure crushed
                    so that we
                    can not stand against
                    the salvoes of the norm

                    where goes the purpose
                    which once maintained the soul?
                    I am bled empty,
                    stunned and dulled,
                    never casting zones
                    of great attainment
                    never finding synch
                    with the sacred flow

                    what does work
                    is not enough
                    we fall short
                    at every real world test
                    we fail the basis
                    and falter at attempts
                    to be a part
                    of that outer frame

                    and we have no allies
no one to watch our back
                    within these battles
                    all associates flee away
                    as though in fear
that our failure leaves a taint
                    which will stain them
and mark them for our fate
