1. What is the longest road trip you've taken?
Assuming that by "road trip" one means driving excursion, that would likely be taking a beat-up old Jeep from Chicago to Alamosa, CO ... with bits of it becoming non-functioning along the way.
2. If your cable company only let you have three stations, which stations would they be?
Now, this one is VERY difficult ... I am quite addicted to shows on SCI-FI, UPN, and WGN but that would not bring me the Bears come NFL season (although I suppose that lack could be rectified by a visit to any of the dozens of local taverns within a block or two walk from my home). Also, I can hardly imagine a week where I did not dip into the TLC, Discovery, Food, History, Travel, and the various news channels!
3. What's the best meal you've ever had at a restaurant?
That would have to be the degustation dinner that my wife and I had at Le Normandie at the top of The Oriental in Bangkok on our first night in Thailand on our honeymoon. Aside from the romantic locale, Le Normandie is famed as one of the world's top French restaurants, and has had a "visiting chef" program for many decades, leading to a kitchen that is truly remarkable. Not only was the food superb, but the entire experience (we didn't have reservations, but got a great window-overlooking-the-river table after only about a 15 minute wait!) was remarkable!
4. Are you a bargain shopper? Do you clip coupons?
I've always been a cheap bastard on some level (must be some Scots blood in there somewhere) and even more so in these days of personal impoverishment. I'm not real big into coupons (takes too much coordination for my life), but will use them when they and the shopping excursion happen to cross paths.
5. What would you be doing right now if you weren't goofing off online?
Uh ... going to pick up The Girls from Daycare .... OOOPS .... I guess I'd better get my butt in gear!
