A half a dozen poems ... #2

I'm still working on the Case Study for school ... the instructor gave me till "mid week", which I assume means that I need to get it finished up tonight. I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, so I figure I should maybe catch a few winks and then get back to this tonight. Our final exam is on Friday, which will mean I'm half done with the program already! I don't know what brings on "bursts" of poems, but I have done six in a row. Maybe it's all the time coming and going on the bus.

                    FACTS AND FEATURES FADE

                    from unsure contexts,
                    unintended frames,
                    yet we align
                    with the purpose of day
                    and mark off the lines
                    of the scripts of demand
                    so unexpected,
                    compliant, docile
                    too much, however,
                    too many, though,
                    we are driven
                    past all limits,
                    pressed beyond
                    survival's bounds;
                    we lack control here,
                    any steering, guide or aim
                    mass entrains,
                    velocity builds,
                    too much dark matter,
                    far too many strings
                    move these functions,
                    distort these frames,
                    undermine the sense of self
                    held at the very core
                    we grow blanker
                    and much more vague
                    the tomes of what
                    we cease to know
                    eclipse our storage
                    of facts and features
                    as now we fade
                    to indistinction
                    dark world, evil place,
                    stupid sleeping putrid race,
                    I wish I may, I wish I might
                    destroy your emptiness with light,
the killing glare of naked void
                    unvarnished truth you'd so avoid,
tear this world down and start anew
with room for me, but not for you
