hey .....

Geez ... I just had another Minneapollis person drop me from their friends list ... hey, it wasn't ME playing up there in the Metrodome ... just my beloved BEARS!

Oh, lucky you ...

Yeah, got that new poem typed up. It is soooooo frustrating not having away-from-computer time to write ... but I needed to "pull back" anyway (to come up with just 114 poems this year to make an even 1000 for the past several years ... "it's an obsessive-compulsive thing, you wouldn't understand"), so I guess it's working for the best!

                    FALLEN INTO EMPTY DREAMS

                    the substance falters
                    but yet becomes
                    we can not align
                    with these currents within time
                    we can not synch
                    with such demand
                    as these days carry
                    to impose upon us

                    all our systems
                    drift down
                    we have no structure
                    which abides
                    we have no meaning
                    which maintains
                    we have no function
                    within this world

                    the gravities
                    disturbing space
                    effect us with
                    such dire declines
                    that every step
                    finds an abyss
                    and each direction
                    leads to the pit

                    our struggles churn
                    across the clock
                    we craft no vectors
                    leading on
                    yet build such webs
                    out of these pasts
                    that all duration
                    is held amid their grasp

                    how to sift
                    damnation from despair,
                    misfortune out of madness?
                    too many elements corrupt
                    the pure intention
                    the cherished vision
                    of a world now lost
                    fallen into empty dreams
