I promised you poems ... #1

Yesh, I thought I'd have had these up earlier too. Anyway, spent a chunk of the day today trying to decipher about a week's worth of my cramped psychotic scribbling (my hand-written poems are much better transcribed fresh while I still have some idea about what all those little marks mean), so here they come ... I'm gong to put one poem per posting so there isn't one HUGE spew of poems lurking behind one of those ever-so-polite LJ-cut tags!

I promised you poems ... #2

I actually got out of the house today. Took Daughter #1 to dojo. We've missed so much over the past few weeks while everybody's been sick. I think she's maybe made one class per week, maybe 2 classes in 3 weeks. Not good. They had promotions today and she again didn't get the next stripe. I hope the next section of my class is less tiring than the last and I'll be more into dragging us up there (with Daughter #2 in tow) for mid-week evening classes than I have been in the past month or so. Anyway ... here's another lovely poem for your reading enjoyment:

I promised you poems ... #3

Well, I'm hoping to get March 2002 up on the big poem site this evening (now that it's finished ... it'll just be a matter of getting on the AT&T dial-up and FTPing the files) ... you remember where that is, don't you? It's at the ever-so-easy-to-remember URL of http://i.am/btripp ... you know that by heart, don't you? Well, I got 16 poems done for March, which brings my 2002 total up to 50, which is exactly on target for getting 200 poems done for the year. Oh, bliss; oh joy! Yeah, like anybody else gives a flying fuck about the speed at which this shit spews. Oh, look ... here comes another:

I promised you poems ... #4

Man ... these days have really sucked. Before I started taking these drugs, I was not typically depressed, just a freak-out waiting to happen around some stuff (financial stuff, primarily) ... but I have recently been getting big dips in my mood, into that "oh, fuck, what's the use?" territory. I had to miss the meeting with the shrink earlier this week since I was having to deal with The Girls AND getting my mom home from the hospital that day, but when he gets back from vacation I think I need to talk to him about upping the dose or something. Of course, The Wife suggested that maybe the cold meds I've been taking to try to keep my shit together enough to make it into class each morning might be screwing around with the Celexa. Could be. Shit ... I used to LIKE drugs ... now I don't even want to see a fucking pill. Ack ... to paraphrase an old SCTV skit ... "WRITE ANOTHER POEM!!!!!" ...

I promised you poems ... #5

Some of these have been chronologically disjointed, as I've previously discussed ... with 2-3 stanzas done in one context, and the rest added later ... I don't even want to talk about how bad this week's been for this stuff. Just as well as there is minimal likelihood that anybody will ever give a fuck about when specific poems were actually penned. (sigh) If only there were 72 hours in each day! This is the last of the current bunch, but I might very well have another to foist on you in the later hours tongiht:
