More "anti-war" hypocrisy

From Saddam’s Racism ...
"The Left seems more vocal about minority preferences for admission at the University of Michigan than the 40 separate gas attacks against Kurds in 1987-88. "
" It is remarkable that the antiwar Left, a political constituency that prides itself on battling racism from South Africa to Cal-Berkeley, can so consistently ignore the blatant bigotry of Saddam Hussein. The first casualty of the Left's war against regime change in Iraq appears to be its own internal consistency. The hypocrisy here is extraordinary, but not surprising."

Ah, nothing like a good blast at the hypocritical Lefties to get the morning off to a good start!

Oooh ... read this ...

OK ... everybody has to drop what they're doing and go over to rillifane's journal to read this post: http://www.livejournal.com/users/rillifane/370816.html

Here are two juicy excerpts:
"Crude oil in the ground means nothing and is worth nothing until someone drills the wells to access it and builds the pipeline to carry it to a refinery to turn it into something that consumers want to pay for."
"Whatever wealth currently exists in the Middle East is entirely the work of Western investment and western labour."

WHINE ....

OOOH ... look at what's coming out May 18th ... the new 5MP Mavica! And it's in BLACK too!

I've been wanting to get a good digital camera, and this one might just be it ... it's cheaper than either of its predecessors, which is great too! At 5 megapixels (which gives decent prints up to 20x30"!) it should be at a "plateau" that I won't get that "ooh, I need a new camera" itch for quite some time. I really like the idea of this line of Mavicas, which write directly to CD-R and/or CD-RW media ... which means you don't have to screw around with downloading.

Now ... how to convince the Universe that this needs to be bought for me off of my Amazon wish list???
