this felt like a milestone ...

I logged in my 1,700th book into my LibraryThing catalog tonight! I actually have more books than that, but I try not to log in stuff that I haven't read, so all the stuff in the various "to be read" boxes (and few remaining to-be-read shelves) haven't made the list as yet. This past review was also #166 ... and I'm thinking that, despite their "journalesque" tone, I may spend an evening one of these days and post all of those to the appropriate pages on Amazon (after all, in the new "Vine" program, this might get me some free review copies!).

I swear I didn't know!

Oh, dear ... a cynical mind might have thought that I had just read Beowulf to freshen up my recall for the new movie adaptation! Really, though, I swear that I had no inkling of the film until this afternoon (when I had to d/l Quicktime on an office computer, and that dumped me off on Apple's movie trailer page)!

However, it will either be really bad or really good, as it has a screenplay by Neil Gaiman, and features a whole slew of "big names" (Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover, etc.) ... and it also seems to be animated over live-action. I don't think this is one for the kiddies, though, at the official site has regular and "restricted" trailers.
