What a grind ...

I have had "networking" events scheduled for every night this week ... fortunately, the one last night seemed to produce some useful leads. While not for "a job" per se, one gal there wants to talk to me about developing a center in SL like the one I've done for WSI for an organization that she's involved with and possibly doing a Ning site for her business. Better than a kick in the teeth!

The place the thing was in last night was pretty cool, and I'd not even heard of it previously ...

... it's called the Catalyst Ranch, and that's pictues of the "Polka Room" (one of a half dozen funky spaces there) ... full of all sorts of "kitsch" ... a very fun place!

The event was a fundraiser by TweetNetworking, but for the $10 donation they had beer, wine, sodas, and a big spread donated by a local Domino's that had various pizzas, pastas, and their new oven-baked sandwiches (which I'd not tired previously and really liked the three types I sampled!), so it was actually a pretty good deal.
