Took this pic the other day when I had The Girls down at the Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier. I've been putting up shots in both citylife and urban_mode but I figured I'd dump this one in my regular journal. I'm, frankly, looking for a pic somewhat like this to go in as the background image on a business card I'm designing, but I'm thinking what I really want for that is a view north from the Hancock up the drive ... probably taken from the North Avenue breakwater in the morning (so the light's illuminating the wall of buildings). Of course, that would require that I get out of the house and up that way in the morning, which would take a heck of a lot of planning on my part.
We're still passing around that stomach bug. Daughter #1 was sick with it on Wednesday night and then all day on Thrusday, but was OK yesterday, but then *I* was feeling poorly yesterday, and ended up doing some nasty dry heaves (fortunately, I'd not felt much like eating yesterday, so I didn't have much to arm the heaves with!) last night. Once again today I have The Girls ... Daughter #2 has a birthday party to go to, and The Wife has a dental appointment at the same time. Fortunately, the party is up on Lincoln Ave., about 1/2 of the way up to Dojo, and lets out 45 minutes before Daughter #1's class, so we can just scoot on up from there on the bus.
