Frankly, I don't know why they didn't get any bids ... they were fairly rare rev/holo cards from the long-out-of-print Skyridge set. I have a theory, but I'll have to see how that works on other things. The cards had a "Buy It Now" price attached (the guy was asking $3 each) and I'm thinking that might have steered away bidders. I'm not sure why that might be the case, but it's the only decent theory I can come up with ... (sigh) maybe he'll re-list them.
It just kills me when I screw up and miss the ends of auctions. As I've noted, I hate to bid any earlier than necessary, as having "action" on an auction will often draw the attention of others (for example, if my theory that the B-I-N pricing on these was putting off other bidders, had I bid on these the B-I-N would have disappeared and they would have just shown up (to somebody doing a "Pokemon search") as cards with one bid at 1¢ ... i.e., ripe for the taking. And that's not even mentioning triggering a bidbot that might have been set up to watch an auction! So, I only rarely (when I know I'm not going to be at the computer when an auction is closing) will bid more than a few minutes out from the close. This, of course, leads me to situations where my planned schedule and my actual timing go awry, and I end up missing things. Like tonight.
And now, as if to add insult to injury, I seem to not be able to get into eBay at all! I wonder what's up with that?
