Oh Damn!

It was bound to happen sooner or later, given my chaotic existence and nearly-non-existent "filing system" ... but I found out today that I "lost" one of my domains. :-(

Now, I'd never done anything with this particular domain (well, it had a "shell" of a site up on it), but had picked it up YEARS ago and had always thought that at some point I'd stick one of those "shopping mall" sites there. But, I guess that's not going to happen now.

I really don't know how this slipped by me ... it appears to have expired in February ... unfortunately, much of the time I get the e-mail about a domain coming close to its expiration date and think I'll "get back to it in a few days", but then don't. I found this out today when I was renewing another domain at the same registrar ... I went to get into the file, and it wasn't taking my log-in ... I looked at the WHOIS and it was suddenly not me there, but one of thsoe "squatter" companies. I guess they'd identified this as something to snap up, and did so back in May. Damn. I'm going to miss ... it was a heck of a name.
