Ah, OK, so I guess there are some benefits to bidding early on eBay. Over the past 24 hours I have "missed" about six auctions because, in each case (well, 4 of them were pretty much closing at once) my attention got dragged off to something else and I didn't remember that I was in fact, "waiting to bid" on them. Dang. Fortunately for me, most of these ended up going for substantialy more that I had set as my theoretical max bid, so the "sour grapes" factor is mitigated somewhat, however the most recent one went for the minimum, so I'm pretty sure (never can tell, though) that I missed a "deal" on that. Grrrrrr ... dang "important projects" and my tendency to get "immersed" in them!
