Self-portrait in Cloud Gate (yet again) ...

Yep, there I am again, snapping my distorted pic in the much-photographed "Cloud Gate" sculpture down in Chicago's Millennium Park. I think this is like the third or fourth of these that I've posted over the past couple of years.

We did a lot of wandering around on Sunday when we were staying at the Hyatt ... I don't think I'd seen "the bean" since they finished the final polishing and released it from the work shelter they'd built over it. As simple a concept as it is, I guess it was insanely difficult to actually build (something about multiple compound curves), but the end effect is hypnotic. I'm sure it is going to be one of the "top 10 most photographed things" in due time, because it just needs to have pictures taken of it!

Speaking of which, I have a freaky shot taken underneath the sculpture (yes, you can walk through it) which I'll get up here sooner or later ... it's amazing in a 60's "acid movie" sort of way.
