The past couple of days I've had the Beastie Boys' To The 5 Boroughs in the CD player and it always freaks me out when I get to "An Open Letter To NYC" because the intro (and background) bass line is the opening of the Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer", and part of my brain fully expects to hear the latter song! The same thing always happened when listening to Veruca Salt's "Seether" which was built on an old Sex Pistols bass line (I don't recall which one at the moment and don't exactly feel like going looking for my copy of Never Mind the Bollocks to figure out which cut it was).
