I got tagged .... so it's MEMETIME!

So, I went and fell into this over on ghostofzuul's journal ...

The details:
1. Grab the nearest book. Beat it against the desk until it submits. {I like this addition, but it's not mine!}
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people (You're reading this .. you'll do.)

OK, I have to admit to a little bit of cheating. I have a stack of a few books that are under my desk to read when I have something like 5-10 minutes to kill (waiting for a conference call to start or a long download/install to finish, or something like that). However, I've hit this same meme before and I didn't feel like typing out the same old chunk of text from Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard, so I went to the next book down, Ducky Doolittle's Sex With The Lights On, but found that there was just a couple of sentences on p.123 (at the end of a chapter), so I went to a third book to get ...

If only people were aware of the thoughts injected into their minds while they slept! The dream state is the birthplace of much of the future. Great thoughts are manifest upon awakening, and the mind that retains, in conscious form, these thoughts, shall produce much. But he who is guided by thoughts unrecognized is led into situations that will later be interpreted as "fate," "God's will," or accident.

The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey

So there you go! Hey, it could be worse ... if I reached out past my computer onto the book shelves beyond there's a stack of my old poetry books, so you might have been treated to some gratuitous angst!

Who's gonna play?
