As anybody paying any attention to this space no doubt knows ... I have been very enthusiastic about LibraryThing ever since it crossed my WWW radar. However, there are bits and pieces over there that keep me scratching my head ... for instance, despite there being dozens of L.T. users with Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Bennett, Nicoll, and Orage books, nobody seems to be interested in joining the "Fourth Way" group I set up there months ago. I've also been surprised that nobody's jumped on the "Toastmasters" group I started this past week. Several other groups I started over there got populated right away with no further effort on my part (stuff like Archaeology, Chicagoans, INTPs, etc.), so I'm confused about the ones which haven't. And, it's not just "my" groups ... another Lawrence alum started a "Lawrentians" group a couple of months back, and so far it's just the two of us in there (despite my sending an e-mail to the Alumni office up at L.U. about it).
Ah ... in the immortal words of Vinnie Barbarino: "Mr. Kotter, I'm so confuuuuuused!"
