We have finally decided that, yes indeed, our refrigerator is dying.Like we needed this in the midst of kids' birthdays, Xmas, etc.?
We first thought it had to do with being "overstuffed" with post-Thanksgiving leftovers, but there's no denying at this point that the best it's managing to do is to keep stuff cool and we're being delusional if we think that it's making anything cold (at least the freezer part is still working). This probably helps explain how the sliced turkey got fuzzy before I got around to finishing up the leftovers. Not a happy thing. Not at all.
So, I spent all morning flogging the Internet for Cheap Refrigerators. Fortunately, I did manage to find one with comparable stats. We currently have a side-by-side format (without ice/water), but all similar ones were way expensive ... I ended up finding a largish (we're losing .27 cubic feet of freezer space, less than 5%) top-freezer Amana unit that was on special and on sale (about 25% off all told) with free delivery and installation from ABTelectronics.com which should be here on Thursday.
I don't suppose The Wife is going to want to put a ribbon on it, but I suspect that we just got our Anniversary presents for each other ... maybe Xmas too.
