OK ... one good thing from that last book ...

There was a great phrase quoted in there about how people (especially city folks like yours truly) have their own world that does not include outsiders unless necessary ...
"'people walk around in a bubble of territorial exclusion' that is rarely penetrated"
... which is a fabulous descriptor of "urban survival mode" ... I need to find a way to work "bubble of territorial exclusion" into a speech or something one of these days!
