Over on LibraryThing there was a fun thing happening on one of the boards ... a story being cobbled together five words at a time. For the first couple of days, it was very interesting, and relatively focused, but as it gained popularity, it lost cohesion, and has been mucked up by some folks who seem to think it's "clever" in insert either bizarre elements or jarring plot twists every few entries. All it takes is a couple of yahoos like that to totally destroy the project! For ptiy's sake ... each entry is only five words long, let the story build for a while before hijacking the continuity (of either theme, location, or perspective) off into something that you think is "cute"!

Grumble, grumble, grumble ... it's too damn early in the morning to have me manifesting my English Major side!
