I feel SOOOOOO old ...

OK, this was bad ... I'm sitting there, watching TV and a commercial comes on.

The commercial immediately grabs my attention, because it has a Buzzcocks tune ... "Everybody's Happy Nowadays"

Now, this tune came out as a single in March of 1979, and found its way to an album via the Singles Going Steady collection later that year. I was 21 that summer, and lived at the punk clubs. Of course, 1979 is now 28 years ago, and I'm 49 years old.

The commercial was for AARP.

AARP. The Buzzcocks are the new sound of the AARP.

Somebody just shoot me.
