This sounds cool ...

In today's Tribune there was an article about the 10th anniversary of a music composition program, "ReBirth" which emulated two Roland TB-303s and a Roland TR-808 drum machine ... the program, which has been discontinued, used to retail at $200.00 but can be downloaded from the http://www.rebirthmuseum.com/ website for free!

I've often wanted to "mess around" with making some music to go with my poetry, and from the descriptions of this, it sounds like the ideal sort of "toy" that takes all the "hard parts" of making music (the parts I don't "get") out of the equation. I've not downloaded this yet, but I'm largely making this post so that I'll know where to look when I get the idea of doing something like this!
