I'm Bummed!

So, the "replacement parts" computer came in yesterday. And I gutted it, and swapped its (purportedly functioning) motherboard (I was worried when I saw the entire CPU assembly hanging by its fan's power wires!) into my machine, then reconnected everything. Unfortunately, it's still not functioning.

It does try to boot, but gets to the Bios screen and sort of hangs up. Now, this had been "operating" without a hard drive, and I'm wondering if it had been set to boot from the CD drive, but I don't know how to check that, or re-set it if that is the case.

The Bios screen is at least recognizing the hard drive, which I guess is a good thing. I just wish I could get it to go ahead and boot from it!

I guess I'm going to run it up to the "neighborhood computer place" which suggested my eBay efforts in the first place. Maybe they can coax this into working.
