oh, by the way ...

I believe that I mentioned that I had had a half-hour "pre-interview" sort of a thing with a SecondLife Developer group down at the SLCC a couple of weeks ago. The fellow I'd spoken with, one of their Partners, suggested that I come up to their offices "to meet with the whole team" to see how well I would fit as their PR/Communications/Marketing guy. I had been getting nervous because I hadn't heard anything for two weeks (despite various "pings" via e-mail, in-world messaging, and phone), but finally got an appointment this week (for next Tuesday).

Now, at this point, I don't have a clue where I stand in relation to that gig ... but it would be very exciting being in a "leading edge" company in a fast-growing new niche. And, if the job paid enough (I have guesstimates that run from 1x to 3x, with 2x and above being various degrees of "enough") it could even save us from having to move!

I am very nervous about this (especially since "marketing to the blogosphere" is something that I've not done, but I keep telling myself that damn few others have either) and am probably going to be spending the whole weekend trying to dig up resources like blog directories (do these exist?), etc. Wish me luck.
