Domains, domains, domains ...

I just got done renewing 10 domains ... out of about 25 or so that I still currently have. Back when I was doing the network marketing, I had a bunch more, but have let product-specific (like "LovePrescription.com" or "LoveRx4U.com") and brand-specific ones (like "YourUnicity.com" or "Rexall-Info.com") expire. However, I am still holding on to a lot of "good names" that aren't germane to anything I'm currently doing, but I hate to just let them go.

I have, actually, had the occasional contact of folks looking to see if I'd be willing to part with a name (such as "CoffeeKlatch.com"), but nobody's actually made me an offer, and every now and again there will be a flurry of "whois" searches that I'll be notified of, which I figure is other folks seeing the status of various domain names.

What really kills me, though, are the ones that I "accidentally" lost. As long-time readers know, I've been through a lot of shit over the past decade, and have been in psychological/financial states where I really wasn't able to keep up with a lot of the details, and in those times such choice things as "YourHealthBiz.com" got snagged by other people. In one case, at least, I was able to retrieve one, "ShopLikeCrazy.com", that had been held by a "squatter" for a year or so ... they must have given up on it and I was able to snag it back!

The ones I really regret letting slip away were my Tongan domains ... I had "damned.to", "revealed.to", and "whackoff.to" for several years, but could never "pull the trigger" on getting anything set up for those (I was thinking of renting out sub-domains like "damned.to/Chicago" or "revealed.to/GuruWhatsHisName" or "whackoff.to/ParisHilton" or stuff along those lines), but the renewal date came and went on those during a particular funk a couple of years back and I'm sure others have grabbed those up by now.

Oh, well ... at least I'm good to go for another year on about half of these.
