Whoa ...
I don't usually take much notice of celebrity births/marriages/deaths, etc., but a couple of things struck me about the passing of Bernie Mac ...
Same age.
Same city.
Same hospital.
Obviously, I wouldn't have registered on the media's radar at all, but that could have been me two weeks ago.
I was born 11 days before Bernie Mac ... and was in NWMH "on the edge" (with lung problems as well, me Pulmonary Embolisms, him Pneumonia) 11 days ago ... we could have had exactly the same lifespan.
I assume that, as one ages into the high-traffic areas of the actuarial mortality tables, "coincidences" like this start coming fast and furious, but it's been a bit unsettling to contemplate the toe-tag probabilities that I recently dodged!
