Went to the Doc today ...

Finally made it in for a follow-up appointment. The Doctor had me walk around with the little oxygen meter clipped to my fingertip, and I never dropped below 93% (and was back and forth between that and 99%), so he said I could lose the O² ... which will be great not having to schlep the portable unit to and from work, and I'm sure The Wife will be happy to get the big liquid oxygen tank out of the living room, along with the two other compressed gas tanks, and the compressor I've been using at night!

We still have a lot of work to do (addressing the leg veins which seem to the source of the clots), but it's nice to be "out of the woods" for the time being. My next stop seems to be a "sleep study" to deal with the side issue of sleep apnea (so I may be back to a compressor soon), and abut six months out maybe some surgery on the "bad" leg.
