Finally ... the book is ready to meet its public.
I can't begin to tell you how amusing it is for me to be "back in publishing" ... it's been years since I finally had to "pull the plug" on Eschaton Books, and here it is, zombie-like, crawling out of the grave to be the nominal publisher for the new line of Avatrait art books!
When we started on this project, it was just a natural that since I was here, and had the publishing background, and nearly 1,000 unused ISBN numbers, that we'd just roll with that. While this particular project is a one-off for the big show in Florence next week (and the art exhibit there over the next few months), we're also planning on doing approximately monthly collections reflecting the current show in the in-world Avatrait Gallery.
Combine this with the meeting planning stuff that I'm doing these days, and it's like I'm recapitulating my entire working history (well, so far minus the bartending) all in one job ... would be nice to be getting paid, however.
