In the words of The Stranglers, I've "been around and seen a lot to shake me anyhow", so there's rarely anything that makes me perk up and say "WOW!" but today I got a mailing from Geeks.com that was featuring dive masks with built-in 5mp cameras ... one good to 15ft and one good to 33ft ... how cool is that? Now, it's a long time since I've been diving (I think the last time was during the Harmonic Convergence in '87 when I was down at Tulum), but this would be so awesome to have ... they shoot both still images and video (with an underwater microphone) ... and what's really remarkable about them is that they're under a hundred bucks. Awesome. Not that I have money to spend on something like that (or going some place where I could use them).Another thing that jumped out from the same mailing was being able to get an internal multi-function card reader for $4.99 which, while obviously being an amazing price, what really stood out was that it's non-sale price was just $6.99! I just love it when tech gets cheap.
Like I said ... stuff that gets my attention like this doesn't come along every day, so I figured I'd blog about 'em!
