Curiouser and curiouser ...

OK, so Twitter purged a bunch of the plainly "TwitSpam" accounts last week ... which got rid of the stuff like the shoe store near UIC that followed my account just because I Tweeted that I'd been down to UIC for a conference.

However, over the past couple of days, I've been followed by the better part of a dozen "internet marketing gurus" of various stripes. Once again I find myself "scratching my head" over this.

How did they find me? While it's true that most of my "follow list" are people involved in the industry (mainly on the Metaverse side of things), it's not like I'm churning out Tweets about the biz. I suspect that this is possibly coming from my Tweet about that Google gal having a Twitter account ... but that would be a strange trajectory.

Frankly, about half of these folks have looked "content rich" enough for me to follow ... but it's just odd that I'd be getting this stream of them adding me (as much as I'd like to think that my various Internet soapboxes are fascinating, I know for sure that my Twitter is mainly a one-way spigot for incoming data).

Of course, if I had total clarity on Twitter, I'd be the guy out there being the "guru"!
