As those of you who have been following my video "issues" over on my Ning site, I've been having problems using my old digital camera for shooting those (#1 it won't hook directly up to the computer, #2 it won't record more than 3 minutes of video, even after I got it a new 2gb SD card). I finally decided that I either had to make some serious adjustments to what I wanted to do with the videos, or change cameras. So, yesterday I "went shopping" and found a webcam that had nothing but good comments (although it's only 1.5mp) for it, which was very inexpensive (with tax and shipping it was under $25), and had the features that I hope will get me to where I want to be with recording this stuff.
I placed the order around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon. The UPS tracking thing tells me that it was signed for in our building's package room (I've not gone downstairs for it yet) at about 9:30am this morning. That's a mere 17 hours for the paperwork to generate, the product to get packed, the package handed over to UPS, go through their processes, get put on a truck, and driven down here. Of course the "official" shipping estimate was 3-5 days, but it's almost "magic" to have stuff come this fast!
Kudos to Tiger Direct (and UPS, I guess) for amazing me once again!
